Dear Parents,

Thank you for your interest in St. Thomas More Preschool. We are very excited to announce that our new Preschool will be ready to open its doors for the 2008-2009 school year. Our preschool is a purpose built facility offering a challenging pre-kindergarten program that facilitates a strong partnership between parents and staff. Our safe, nurturing environment offers creative, challenging, developmentally appropriate activities that promote each child’s love of learning, and fosters the development of a positive self-image.

At this time, we are ready to accept applications. We have attached an application form. When complete, return it to the school office with the $35, non-refundable, application fee.

All students who are baptized Roman Catholics should provide us with an official, embossed copy of their baptismal certificate. A copy will be made and the original will be returned to you immediately. Children who are not Roman Catholics need to provide us with an official, embossed copy of their birth certificate. Acceptance is not final until the appropriate form is received. Once we have received the application form, fee and birth/baptismal certificate, we will consider your child’s application.

Many factors contribute to the decisions about acceptance at St. Thomas More Preschool. They include primarily the family’s religion and whether or not the family is practicing their faith. Catholic students and siblings are given priority in the admissions process. It is helpful if the child has other members of their immediate family already enrolled in the school. It is additionally helpful if that family has been both active here as well as prompt in meeting all financial obligations to the school. Children of graduates or others with a particular connection to the school will be given special consideration. Children that attend our preschool will be given priority when applying to St. Thomas More School kindergarten program. It is helpful if any family appears to be available to participate in school sponsored activities.

Once acceptance is issued, a family has about two weeks to respond. Failure to respond by returning the requested forms/fees in a timely manner will mean that the acceptance is voided.
