Dear Parents, As Halloween approaches, so does the big decision about costumes. This year we will be having our school Halloween celebration on Friday, October 31. I encourage the fifth graders to wear costumes to school because it gives them an opportunity to share in the fun with the rest of the student body. A few rules of thumb are:
1. Make certain your child’s costume is comfortable because it has to be worn all day;
2. The costume should accommodate your child’s need to use the bathroom easily;
3. Make-up should be used sparingly and applied at home prior to arriving at school;
4. A costume with weapons is not considered appropriate for a school parade.
The parade begins after morning recess, at approximately 10:45. We will have a class party for the students immediately following the parade.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Happy Halloween to your family.
