Task   

You will complete a well-researched paper on an African country and a brochure showing what the country has to offer. This Webquest has two outcomes. You will research basic facts on an African country you have been assigned. The product of your research will be a two to three page report highlighting the key facts of an African Country. You will also use WORD to make a two-sided brochure on your assigned country.

Extra Credit: You can earn extra credit by re-designing your assigned country's flag. The design should be unique and can be computer generated or hand-drawn and submitted on a piece of 11.5in. x 8in. paper.

1. Report

Using these two links, Basic Facts & Helpful African Websites you will find the information you need to write a two to three page report on the African Country you have been assigned. Your report will be graded on how the following information is presented:

• Historical Background
• Geography: A brief description of the topography and weather
• Description of the People and Population (include facts and figures)
• Economy - Overview
• A conclusion highlighting the positive aspects of this country

2. Brochure

Using Word, complete a double-sided brochure about your assigned African country. Include the flag of the country on the cover of the brochure and a variety of images from the Internet throughout it. Use the above links and your report to gather your information .

Be sure to make the brochure fun and exciting.  Think of it as your chance to showcase an African country and the wonders that go with it. Sentences should be short and to the point.
